Teenage Room Reno

I still cannot believe that we have a teenager in the house. He makes us all so proud. Speaking of proud, this new teenager loves his rooms and all of the details. From the removable night light, the shelves, to the shoes mounted on the wall, our son was involved in every detail. For his 13th birthday he wanted to have his room renovated so we gave him just that.

The bedding is amazingly soft to the touch and with amazing reviews I knew they would be perfect. Since the room was painted in blocked colors, the white and green both by Behr, I wanted some texture to come through the stripped sheets. We upgraded pillows, got even more pillow covers and got him a great mattress that is uber comfortable. Since this kids loves sports, we sprinkled decor around his room. Displaying the football, soccer, and basketball is a great way to decorate but also a way to not have to share with his siblings!

Overall, the room is meant to feel outdoorsy with a modern flare. With the platform bed that has two drawers and the tall dresser he has plenty of storage for the years to come. Stay tuned for the closet makeover and if here a the blog post all about his amazing rug!
